Our Thinking Ahead Capability Group applies the art of science and conceptual thinking to the logic of process in order to interpret the optimum military capabilities, structures and equipments required to prosecute operations in the future. We do this with the skills and expertise offered by our people, applying their extensive knowledge of current concepts and emerging technologies to conduct research and development across a wide spectrum of activities. Our approach is pragmatic, using methodologies that include the application of strategic or operational analysis to assess future defence and security requirements and to support long term planning and decision-making.

Technology & Information
Our Technology & Information Capability Group focuses on the importance of the application of Systems Engineering as an over-arching discipline. SCS has deep experience and a long history of involvement in Command and Control, Decision-Making Support, Communication and Information Systems, Battle Management Applications and Integrated Logistic Support programmes. This core knowledge and experience is augmented by specialist capabilities in, for example: Trials design, management and execution; preparation and delivery of Safety and Environmental Cases; and Information Assurance. Complementary capabilities, such as Human Factors Integration, are drawn from our People & Organisations Capability Group.
