Rick BounsallManaging Director Commissioned from Sandhurst and an Engineering graduate, former Brigadier Rick Bounsall enjoyed a successful career in the British Army. He commanded up to Regimental level, deployed on several operations, served on exchange in the United States Army for 2 years and was an instructor at the Army Command and Staff College. For his service in Northern Ireland he was awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service. In the second half of his career he specialised in Defence Acquisition holding key appointments as Director Equipment Capability in MoD Head Office and as an Integrated Project Team Leader in the Defence Equipment & Support organization in charge of some of the MoD’s biggest programmes. For 3 years he was Chairman for NATO Battlefield Information Collection & Exploitation System (BICES) Agency Board of Directors. Rick left the Army early in order to take up the appointment of Managing Director of SCS ltd in May 2007. |

Jim CampbellOperations Director Jim Campbell was commissioned from Sandhurst in 1970. During a 34 year career as a REME officer he commanded in every rank from lieutenant to brigadier, alternating with a variety of staff appointments in MoD Main Building, the Military Secretary’s department and the Defence Logistics Organisation. His final Army appointment was as Director of Studies at RMCS Shrivenham (now the Defence College of Management and Technology). Jim joined SCS in February 2005 as a Principal Consultant, specialising in defence acquisition management, support engineering and sustainability. He was appointed Head of SCS’s Capability Support Division on its formation in December 2006 and joined the SCS Board as Operations Director in May 2007. Jim is a graduate of the RMCS Shrivenham, Staff College Camberley and the Royal College of Defence Studies. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. |

Simon WaltherFinance Director Simon Walther has considerable industry-relevant expertise having been Group Financial Controller at Alvis plc for eight years and, most recently, a consultant to BAE Systems. Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross (1992), Simon moved to the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O) where he was appointed a Chief Accountant for P&O European Ferries in 1995. In 1997 he was appointed Group Financial Controller at Alvis. |
